Nanomer Workshop in Lyon: a space for advanced training
We held a new edition of the Nanomer Workshop in Lyon, an event designed to strengthen specialized training and scientific exchange in materials and nanotechnology. Students participated both in person and virtually, including a connection with Universitat Jaume I, reaffirming the international dimension of the program.
This academic space contributes to capacity building, inter-institutional collaboration, and the consolidation of the Nanomer community.
A week of advanced training, pedagogical innovation, and international cooperation
Between November 3 and 7, 2025, the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Chile hosted the 14th NanoAndes International School and the 1st Nanomer School, an event that brought together 109 participants —60 students, 22 international professors, and 27 national professors— from 13 countries across Latin America and Europe. The program combined advanced scientific training with an innovative pedagogical component driven by the Erasmus+ Nanomer Project.
New training resources available
As part of Work Package 2 (WP2), Dr. Xavier Cattoën, WP2 Coordinator, developed online training resources that are now available on the Moodle platform and on our YouTube channel.
Strategic meetings in Europe strengthen NANOMER
On behalf of the NANOMER project, Belén Albela, International Management Coordinator, took part in meetings with Spanish universities (May–June 2025) and with French partner universities (July 2025).
These meetings advanced key topics for the consortium, such as:
Student Exchange: Nine Selected for Europe
The Selection Committee of the NANOMER 2025 Student Exchange Program has concluded its first call. After reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and evaluating academic excellence, project fit, motivation, and diversity, nine students were selected. They will have the opportunity to enrich their training through academic and research experiences at European universities, thereby strengthening intercontinental cooperation in nanoscience.
